To interpret the already re-interpreted is never an easy task. However, season after season, designer Junya Watanabe have done just that. While a protege of COMME des GARÇONS‘ Rei Kawakubo, Watanabe tapped into design origins more familiar to him and his customer demographic with collaboration such as the upcoming capsule collection with The North Face. For eYe COMME des GARÇONS line, the limited collection will see three outerwear styles within The North Face product line. While rather indistinguishable from designs for the general release collection, Watanabe remade each with premium materials (Gore-Tex laminated fabric) and finite details (his signature plaid lining) to each of the designs. Available as Gore-Tex trench coat, Gore-Tex parka, and leather/worsted wool down vest, the eYe COMME des GARÇONS JUNYA WATANABE MAN x The North Face should arriving at your nearby eYe COMME des GARÇONS retail locations by the start of Fall/Winter 2012 season with prices between US$ 950 to US$ 1,320. via: SENSE/HB
